Jerry is a results-driven leader with over 30 years of experience in tax accounting, financial planning, M&A advisory, tax controversy, and fractional CFO services. A licensed CPA, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York (SUNY) Polytechnic Institute in Utica, NY.
Before relocating to Florida, Jerry spent 18 years as a partner at a prestigious public accounting firm in Upstate New York, where he played a key role in the firm’s growth and client success. His career began in developing computerized accounting systems for clients—an early focus on innovation that continues to guide his approach to efficiency and technology in the accounting field.
Known for his approachable leadership style, Jerry brings a client-first mindset to his work and fosters a culture centered on exceptional service and team development. He’s recognized for his strong communication skills—knowledgeable, tactful, and engaging—and his ability to connect deeply with clients, particularly in the medical and construction industries.
Outside the office, Jerry enjoys life with his wife, three children, and their many pets. He spends his free time traveling, visiting his home in New York, relaxing on the beach, and sharing good food and conversation with friends—always living by his motto, “variety is the spice of life.”
Joseph has over 20 years of experience in the accounting industry, having started his career in 1995 working for his father. He joined C&L Value Advisors in 2002, supporting clients in various roles, from bookkeeping to now Partner. He earned his BA and Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Phoenix, completing his education in 2014. He also obtained his CPA in 2023. Specializing in GAAP accounting and the construction industry, Joseph has extensive experience with tax strategy, reviewing financial statements, and audits, including developing and overseeing audits for construction companies. He is particularly proud of his work managing complex GAAP accounting projects over the past 20 years. Outside of work, Joseph is a dedicated family man, a loving husband, and father to three beautiful daughters. He finds strength in overcoming personal challenges, including being blind in one eye, which has sharpened his focus on what matters most: faith, family, his team, and his clients. His commitment to his family and his professional values guides his leadership both at work and in his personal life.
With over 30 years of experience, Angie is a seasoned CPA professional. She specializes in tax compliance, strategic planning, and retirement tax strategies for small businesses and high-net-worth individuals. A valedictorian graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, she is currently pursuing the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation. Outside of work, she is involved in pro bono tax assistance, animal rescue, and her church community. She enjoys time with her three adult children and grandson.
Richard is a distinguished tax and accounting professional with a wealth of experience and a keen understanding of the corporate world, accounting regulations and the tax code. Between 2018 and 2023, Richard owned a CPA practice, where he played a pivotal role in shaping clients' financial strategies and contributing to their growth. Additionally, from 1989 to 1998, Richard owned and operated Freund & Associates, a CPA firm in Chicago, gaining extensive experience in business ownership and financial leadership. Richard's impressive financial journey includes two CFO positions at Financial Groups in Tampa Bay from 2002 to 2018, where he demonstrated his talent for leading operations and showcasing his financial acumen and strategic financial management skills. A Tampa resident since 1999, Richard is deeply rooted in the local community and is a devoted family man. He is married and has two sons, both of whom graduated from Jesuit High School in Tampa, underlining his strong ties to the community. Richard's philosophy centers around the belief that every enterprise has a unique and compelling story to tell. These stories go beyond industry rankings and focus on the journey that led them to their current position. Richard positions himself as the bridge between good and great, helping companies assess their existing financial situation, identify areas for growth, and establish measurable goals, all while actively leading the company towards these objectives. Throughout his career, Richard Freund has consistently demonstrated his ability to transform companies. His impressive track record includes taking five million-dollar businesses and propelling them to fifty million dollars in a remarkably short time. He has also played a key role in various acquisitions, brand building endeavors, and profitable divestitures. Richard's expertise spans a wide range of financial disciplines, including financial planning and analysis, operational finance, budgeting, forecasting, strategy development, accountancy, people management, consumer behavior, and economics. Richard's passion for driving business transformation, coupled with his extensive financial knowledge, makes him a trusted partner for companies striving to reach new heights.
Jane became a CPA in 1999 and has spent over two decades helping clients navigate complex financial challenges. With a knack for problem-solving, she enjoys breaking down financial puzzles and finding solutions that drive meaningful improvements for her clients. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Miami University Ohio, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting from Indiana University Kokomo, and a Master of Accountancy from Wichita State. Jane brings both expertise and a strategic mindset to her work, ensuring her clients receive thoughtful and effective financial guidance. Beyond her professional life, Jane has a passion for travel. After visiting all 50 states and several U.S. territories, she has expanded her adventures overseas. Her most recent travels took her to the Maldives and on a three-week journey through Thailand, with many more destinations on her list.
Blending a foundation in wealth management with deep tax and business advisory experience, Michele offers clients a holistic approach to planning and growth. She holds a B.A. from the University of South Florida and completed post-graduate accounting coursework at Arizona State University in pursuit of her CPA license.
Over the course of her career, Michele has specialized in retirement and estate planning, portfolio management, and business advisory. She has guided individuals and families through long-term financial strategies, advised clients on asset allocation and investment risk, and now emphasizes integrated tax and business advisory services.
Today, her work centers on delivering financial and tax planning solutions for business owners and professionals. She works extensively with restaurant owners and real estate developers/investors, helping them navigate complex tax structures, business transitions, and multi-layered planning strategies.
Outside of her professional life, Michele enjoys hiking, exploring her creativity through painting, and tending to her growing collection of houseplants.
Tyler brings a decade of experience in public accounting and a passion for guiding clients through tax compliance, planning, and consulting. A graduate of the University of Maine, Tyler holds both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and a Master’s in Accounting, showcasing his dedication to building a strong foundation in his field. Tyler began his career as an intern, steadily advancing to his current role, where he specializes in professional services and real estate industries, among others. His ability to combine technical expertise with practical solutions has made him a trusted advisor to clients navigating complex tax landscapes. Throughout his career, Tyler has been recognized for his collaborative approach and commitment to helping businesses achieve their financial goals. Outside the office, he’s passionate about nature, health, and fitness, finding balance through outdoor activities and sports.
With over 38 years of experience in finance and administration—including 16 years in public accounting—Heidi brings extensive expertise and leadership to her role as Director of Administration. Her career spans the world’s largest cargo transportation company, where she advanced from Accounts Receivable to Executive Assistant to the Treasurer and VP, gaining deep insight into executive-level operations, and 16 years at C&L Value Advisors, where she has progressed from Assistant to her current leadership role.
Known for her professionalism, poise, and personal touch, Heidi is often recognized for the approachable and confident way she engages with colleagues and clients—a skill she honed during her early experience appearing in hundreds of radio commercials across the New York tri-state area!
Outside of work, Heidi cherishes time with her husband and adult children and enjoys fishing and relaxing by her pool.
