Jolene is the managing member partner of C&L Value Advisors. Jolene’s primary focus in the firm is working with business owner clients. The Firm provides comprehensive accounting, tax preparation and planning, and business advisory services. Jolene works closely with her clients, helping them make sense of their financial information so they can make accurate decisions in running their businesses. She provides planning services using a proprietary system which was developed in 1991 and copyrighted in 1992. She actively works with clients in numerous areas of business advisory services, including strategic planning and implementation, growth management, business coaching, systems development and improvement, and team and people management. Jolene’s clients fall into a broad range of industries, including medical, professional and technical services, construction, real estate, restaurant, manufacturing, distribution and retail.

Josh has been helping businesses grow for more than 20 years. While getting degrees in philosophy and communications at the University of Vermont, he worked as a marketing analyst for several startups in both New England and New York. Josh then pivoted back to the classroom, acquiring a J.D. with a Tax Concentration and a MBA from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He also obtained a CPA license. He has spent the last twelve years working as a tax and finance analyst for businesses of all sizes.
Matt has over 15 years of legal and taxation experience having consulted, advised, and negotiated on behalf of high net worth clients as their general counsel on deals ranging from $30M to $350M. Matt’s particular area of interest is tax planning for individuals, businesses, trusts and estates. Matt lives in Florida with his family and their dog, Lou. Matt earned his B.A from McDaniel College with a double major in Economics and Business Administration. He went on to earn both an MBA and J.D. (specializing in Taxation) from Quinnipiac University School of Business and Quinnipiac University School of Law. Matt also has an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law. He is a licensed CPA in Maryland and Connecticut. Matt’s comprehensive tax planning experience will help you and your business thrive.

Joseph has over 20 years of experience in the accounting industry, having started his career in 1995 working for his father. He joined C&L Value Advisors in 2002, supporting clients in various roles, from bookkeeping to now Partner. He earned his BA and Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Phoenix, completing his education in 2014. He also obtained his CPA in 2023. Specializing in GAAP accounting and the construction industry, Joseph has extensive experience with tax strategy, reviewing financial statements, and audits, including developing and overseeing audits for construction companies. He is particularly proud of his work managing complex GAAP accounting projects over the past 20 years. Outside of work, Joseph is a dedicated family man, a loving husband, and father to three beautiful daughters. He finds strength in overcoming personal challenges, including being blind in one eye, which has sharpened his focus on what matters most: faith, family, his team, and his clients. His commitment to his family and his professional values guides his leadership both at work and in his personal life.

Richard is a distinguished tax and accounting professional with a wealth of experience and a keen understanding of the corporate world, accounting regulations and the tax code. Between 2018 and 2023, Richard owned a CPA practice, where he played a pivotal role in shaping clients' financial strategies and contributing to their growth. Additionally, from 1989 to 1998, Richard owned and operated Freund & Associates, a CPA firm in Chicago, gaining extensive experience in business ownership and financial leadership. Richard's impressive financial journey includes two CFO positions at Financial Groups in Tampa Bay from 2002 to 2018, where he demonstrated his talent for leading operations and showcasing his financial acumen and strategic financial management skills. A Tampa resident since 1999, Richard is deeply rooted in the local community and is a devoted family man. He is married and has two sons, both of whom graduated from Jesuit High School in Tampa, underlining his strong ties to the community. Richard's philosophy centers around the belief that every enterprise has a unique and compelling story to tell. These stories go beyond industry rankings and focus on the journey that led them to their current position. Richard positions himself as the bridge between good and great, helping companies assess their existing financial situation, identify areas for growth, and establish measurable goals, all while actively leading the company towards these objectives. Throughout his career, Richard Freund has consistently demonstrated his ability to transform companies. His impressive track record includes taking five million-dollar businesses and propelling them to fifty million dollars in a remarkably short time. He has also played a key role in various acquisitions, brand building endeavors, and profitable divestitures. Richard's expertise spans a wide range of financial disciplines, including financial planning and analysis, operational finance, budgeting, forecasting, strategy development, accountancy, people management, consumer behavior, and economics. Richard's passion for driving business transformation, coupled with his extensive financial knowledge, makes him a trusted partner for companies striving to reach new heights.
